PROTEST AGAINST THE INSTITUTIONAL (AATM)HATYA OF ROHITH VEMULA REACHES DELHI UNIVERSITY!

DEMANDS DISMISSAL OF HRD MINISTER AND LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT MINISTER IMMEDIATELY! 
ASKS FOR IMMEDIATE REINSTATEMENT OF FOUR EXPELLED DALIT STUDENTS! 
Today the protest against the institutional (aatm)hatya of Rohith Vermula reached Delhi University. The activists of Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) along with other democratic organizations, intellectualls and progressive and democratic citizens took out a huge rally in North Campus to protest against the abetment of suicide of a Dalit Research Scholar, Rohith Vemula at the University of Hyderabad, by the Union Government and communal organization Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Activists interacted with the students and informed college students about the whole issue. Revolutionary songs were presented by the activists during the protest march. 

It should be known that the University administration of Hyderabad University had expelled 5 Dalit students, all belonging to the Ambedkar Students Association for being ‘casteist’, ‘extremist’ and ‘Anti-national’. Notable is the shameful role of BJP Minister of Labour and Employment, on whose insistence, the MHRD sent five letters and directed the V-C to take action against the students. 
This incident is not an isolated one. Since the BJP government has come in power at the Centre, the casteist forces have become powerful. Active patronage is being given by the Government which itself is composed of right-wing casteist elements to these forces. And hence the rise in atrocities against the Dalit community across the country such as in Faridabad, Abohar, Dankaur to cite a few examples. It is amply known that casteist forces continue to make life miserable for the Dalit community in the country. What is shocking in this incident is the active connivance of the state to install casteist ideology in the University Space, by promoting right-wing forces i.e. ABVP. 
Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) strongly condemns the role of the Union Government and its ministers in abetting the suicide of Rohith Vemula and promoting casteist elements. The Casteist and Anti-Dalit character of the current government lies exposed. KYS has demanded an immediate dismissal of HRD minister and Labour and Employment minister from their post and immediate reinstatement of other four expelled dalit students. KYS has resolved to intensify its struggle against casteist terrorism in the coming days.
